CITY TOUR POR AREQUIPA Y CAÑON DEL COLCA

DETAILED ITINERARY:

DÍA 1: TRANSFER IN – CITY TOUR MIRABUS

At the indicated time, transfer from the Airport to your respective Hotel.

02:00pm We begin our tour on the “Mirabus” from the main square, traveling through different tourist attractions of the city. Our first stop will be the district traditional Yanahuara where you can see the portals that have various engravings and his Church. Then we head towards the Cayma district towards the Carmen viewpoint High, from there you can see the Misti volcano as well as the terraces of the place. We are going to Incalpaca where there is a small mini zoo of the four South American camelids that are the Alpaca, the Vicuña, the Llama and the Guanaco. Next we go to the Founder's Mansion, which as its name indicates It was the house of the founder of Arequipa Don Manuel Garci de Carbajal. Our last stop It will be the Sabandia Mill that has been operating for many years until today; there They can also carry out recreational activities such as horseback riding, cycling, etc.

Finishing the tour we will leave you near the Plaza de Armas. Overnight.

DÍA 02: CAÑÓN DEL COLCA

08:00am to 08:30am – Pick up from hotels in the center of Arequipa.

08:30am - We begin our trip to one of the deepest and most beautiful canyons in the world. Our trip lasts approximately 4 hours to reach the main town of Chivay, making tourist stops along the way. We will pass through the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, where we can see the vicuñas, the main camelid that lives in the area, after which we will visit Patahuasi to take a the traditional Coca Mate, a traditional drink essential for altitude sickness (soroche). Later we will make a small stop at the Bofedales de Toccra where we will observe a large number of Alpacas grazing freely in the area. A mandatory stop at the Mirador de los Volcanes, the highest point of the road that reaches 4800 meters above sea level, from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range, from this point we begin the descent towards the town of Chivay arriving in approximately 40 minutes.

Lunch in Chivay. Then we will settle in our respective hotels. During the afternoon we can enjoy a relaxing bath in the Thermal Waters whose thermo-medicinal waters range between 35º C to 40º C in temperature in the pools.

At night it is optional to participate in a dinner show. Overnight.

DÍA 03: MIRADOR DE LA CRUZ DEL CONDOR - TRANSFER OUT

After breakfast we will move to the Mirador de la Cruz del Cóndor, which is 30 minutes away, an observation point of the Colca Canyon and, if possible, appreciate the spectacular flight of the Condor. . At this point we will spend an average of 45 minutes to be able to observe the beauty of the valley.

On the way back we will stop at the viewpoints in the area from where we will observe the impressive Andenería del Valle and in the town of Maca, where we will see its church and optionally taste local drinks such as Colca Sour, made from local products.

Buffet Lunch.

01:00pm – We begin our return journey towards the city of Arequipa. If on the first day of our tour we did not know any point on the way to Chivay, on the return we can make a stop to be able to meet all the tourist stops, depending on the weather and the group.

04:30pm – We will arrive at the city of Arequipa, and we will leave you near the Plaza de Armas.

At the indicated time, transfer from your Hotel to the Airport. End of our services.
