DETAILED ITINERARY
08:00am to 08:30am We pick up from hotels in the city center to begin our trip to the northeast of the city to visit the archaeological complexes of Moray, Maras and salt mines.
Our first stop will be at the agricultural experimental center of Moray where we will observe the system of circular platforms that the Incas used to experiment with the adaptation of plants to different microclimates or ecological floors. Then, we will descend to the traditional town of Maras in whose streets we will observe the noble shields of its colonial past. Finally, we will head towards Salineras to observe the hundreds of artisanal wells where the inhabitants of Maras, following ancient crystallization techniques, still continue to convert salt water into salt crystals.
In artisan shops in Salineras you can also buy souvenirs made from salt crystals and other materials.
After the tour, we will return to the city of Cusco and we will leave you near the main square of Cusco.
